7 Days

Day 1
Depart from Nairobi for The Ark or similar lodge. The Ark is situated in the Aberdare National Park, deep in the mountain. This unique lodge resembles a ship; overlooking a floodlit waterhole and saltlick which is visited by a variety of animals. Often seen here are the elephant, rhino and bushbuck. Occasionally a leopard or giant forest hog may be seen. Before driving to The Ark, lunch is taken at The Aberdare Country Club. Dinner and breakfast at The Ark or similar lodge.

Day 2
Leave The Ark after breakfast, to drive into Samburu passing through Isiolo, the gateway to "George Adamsons" land of lions, reaching Larsens Tented Camp or similar by lunch time. Samburu is an open Savannah plan and in the vicinity of the Uaso Nyiro River. One can find the dik dik, rhino, buffalo, elephants, cheetah, leopard and lion. Unique to this area are the reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, the long-necked gerenuk and the Beisa oryx, of course not forgetting the hippos and crocodiles in the river and a hundred different species of birds including the Somali ostrich. Dinner and overnight at your lodge or in camp. 

Day 3
Same as day 2

Day 4
After breakfast, depart for Delamare camp, Lion Hill camp or similar. The Delamere camp is situated on the shoreline of Lake Elementaita, in the Great Rift Valley. The Soysambu Wildlife Sanctuary is a private sanctuary, hosting thousands of lesser and greater flamingoes and the only Great White Pelicans; plus a variety of other beautiful water birds. In Soysambu, one has the opportunity to view game while on foot and to watch undisturbed birds form strategically placed points. Night time game drives are available too, giving one the opportunity to view aardvark, African wild cat, civet, leopard and white-tailed mongoose. All meals at the camp. 

Day 5
Leave after breakfast and drive to the Sarova Mara camp or Sekenani or similar, situated in Masai Mara; the richest game park in Kenya. Set up very naturally between two streams, the Sarova Mara camp gives you the opportunity to view a wide selection of wildlife such as lion, elephant, cheetah, leopard, rhino, giraffe and buffalo. Sarova Mara Camp is surrounded by beautiful gardens and lawns, with an abundance of exotic colourful flowers; truly a sight for sore eyes. All meals are taken at the Sarova Mara Camp or Sekenani or similar.

This day is spent exploring the Mara plains for predators and a visit to the Hippo Pool; of course not forgetting a view into the Serengeti plains across the Kenya/Tanzania border. All meals are taken at your camp. 

Day 7
Depart after breakfast, reaching Nairobi by lunch-time.

Nairobi - Lake Baringo - L. Bogoria - Masai mara

Day 01

Depart from Nairobi in the morning driving through rolling Kikuyu countryside to the base hotel for lunch.  Transfer to your forest lodge for floodlit game viewing.
 

Day 02

After breakfast depart  for Lake Baringo Club which nestles amongst palm trees, green lawns and the clashing pinks, purples, reds and oranges of bougainvillea Obviously thriving in the hot steamy days that characterise so many of the Great Rift Valley's lakes. 

There is never a dull moment at the Club.  Morning and evening bird-walks, always accompanied by ornithologist who give visitors the opportunity to see several magnificent birds of prey, noisy, restless, 'bush' birds and the numerous species frequenting the shore.  Dinner and Overnight at the Lake Baringo County Club.
 

Day 03

Visit Lake Bogoria for a day excursion.  Dinner and Overnight at the Lake Baringo County Club.
 

Day 04

After breakfast depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, world renowned for its spectacle of millions if flamingo.  The park is rich in other birdlife and there are a surprising number of animals in this small and beautiful preserve. Dinner and Overnight at the Lake Naivasha County Club.
 

Day 05

There is time after breakfast, to savour the beauty and tranquility of the lake Before departing for the Masai Mara which is reached by lunch time.  An afternoon game drive during which it should be possible to locate the huge black-manned lions for which the reserve is famous.  Dinner and overnight at Siana Springs or Mara-Sarova Camp.
 

Day 06

A full day of game viewing and exploration of this, Kenya's finest Reserve.  More than 60 species of wildlife are found here as well as a multitude of birds.  All meals and overnight at Siana Lodge or Mara-Sarova Camp.
 

Day 07

Depart for Nairobi.
