CLIMATE: Despite being located along the equator, Uganda has a mild, equable climate, mainly because of its relatively high altitude. The temperature ranges from 14.9° to 31.5° C (59° to 98° F). There are two distinct rainy seasons: March to May, and September to November. The mean annual rainfall varies from about 760 mm (30 in) in the northeast to 1,520 mm (60 in) near Lake Victoria.


CURRENCY: Uganda Shilling - US $1.00 = 1050 Shillings(Sept 1996). There are no restrictions on currency exchange.
